He has led several public rituals over the past few years and has more planned for the coming year. He volunteers his time with the MPRC behind the desk on Thursday nights from 7pm to 9pm. In terms of his own spiritual path, it's a long and winding one. John WinterWolf: Forest Witch

John, has been in touch with nature and the environment all his life. A naturalist since before he could walk, he joined the school in 1998, while writing a research paper on paganism. Spending a great deal of his childhood immersed in nature, he has never been comfortable with the fast pace and crowds of the city. Preferring a reflective solitary’s approach to life, recent events have forced him to re-evaluate his goals, and begin teaching and writing articles on Wicca and naturalism. A published poet and writer, John is currently working through a double DEC, and working on a number of personal projects, among them exploring nature within the city.

Ash Forestwalker: Modern Celtic Shaman

Ash has followed a personal path based in Celtic shamanism for over twenty years, believing that a simple and pure approach to Nature is the basis for any spiritual journey. A formally trained artist, his work has been featured in Oberon Zell-Ravenheart’s The Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard (New Page, Feb. 2004). His art has also been regularly featured in local Pagan magazines, providing both cover art and interior illustrations, as well as creating logo art for local Pagan associations. His areas of specialization include defensive magics, healing, and weather work. Ash considers the celebration of individual creativity and the forging of a personal relationship with the Divine are two of the most important elements of self-discovery. Ash is a third-degree initiated witch, and holds a certificate of ordination from BFCCS.

Amanda

Amanda is an all-around eclectic individual, always looking for new adventures and opportunities to learn. She has been exploring alternative spirituality and practice for over 15 years, combining her fascination of East-Indian culture and mythology with earth-centered spirituality, eco-activism and comparative religion.  Her personal spiritual path is an ecstatic one that celebrates life and explores nature's mysteries. It is also a solitary one, although she enjoys working in small groups and with other individuals.

A science-geek and rationalist, Amanda is constantly striving to find balance between intellectual and mystical reality, and spends a lot of time exploring how to 'get out of her head and into her body' through song, dance, movement and meditation. Spiritually, she is currently satisfying her intellectual needs by exploring the commonalities between Celtic and Vedic myth; while keeping her physical self fulfilled through an exploration of song and devotional dance.

Robyn: Reiki Practitioner

Robyn has been studying other cultures and ways of life for as long as she can remember, and so when she decided to pursue a degree in Anthropology, no one was very surprised. Hand in hand with her interest in other ways of life, was a fascination with other systems of belief and expressions of faith. From all that she has studied, Robyn has found that she cannot tie herself down to a singular religious creed, as every faith holds something beautiful and true at its core. While this may seem like a rather winding path to walk along, in the practicing of one's spirituality, it also permits her to have insight into many different ways to look at a situation.

In recent years, her attention has been drawn more and more to different methods of healing, as Western medicine has continually disappointed her in her own trials with her health. Determined that she can find a way to help alleviate the suffering of others, she has begun to practice what she has studied, and feels rather strongly about sharing her knowledge with others.

It is with pleasure that she joins the CMS teaching team.
