So… you want to join a coven and think BFC is for you… Coven is not for everyone. Coven is an intimate family and group that work together and share their spirituality. Some people are called to it. Some trip over into it. Some never make it. Some walk their own beautiful and unique path. It is hard to tell if a coven is right for you or if you are right for it.

That is why Northern Cougars now hosts an Outer Court Program.

It is important that you realize that BFC is dedicated to training you in the tradition as well as training you to be clergy to serve your community. It is a hard 4 - 5 years of dedicated study and practice.

Applicants are expected to have strong familiarity with magical, Pagan and Wiccan beliefs and practices. BFC does not accept people new to the craft. Applicants are also expected to have read the FAQs and downloaded the First Contact Letter and Application Form. You can fill those in and email them to the email address below.

Applicants should already be familiar with and have read works by the following authors: Gerald Gardner, Raymond Buckland, Ray Malbrough, Starhawk, Margot Adler (Drawing Down the Moon), Scott Cunningham, and Silver RavenWolf.

There is a $35.00 (USD/CDN) fee with your application which will become your clan dues at the time of dedication or refunded to you if you are not dedicated. This fee may be paid by cash in person, money order, or PayPal.

Applicants will be expected to meet with members of the coven before acceptance with the understanding that meeting the coven does not mean acceptance into the coven. Applicants will be expected to do the Outer Court program within a reasonable amount of time before acceptance with the understanding that completion is no guarantee of acceptance.
