AvRen RP: Setting the Scene

TIMELINE:
Many years after the Fall of Fire Lord Ozai and the end of the war.
The new Fire Lord is Gotag. The Gaang will not be part of this story.

This is a time between avatars... since the AvRen has no avatar.

Air Nomads:
They were in the high mountains north of the Fire Islands in the western air temple where people were thought to not even live.
They have since spread to the northern temple to share space with the EK machinists there and have trickled back  into the southern and eastern temples.
You do not expect to see many of them, but they are definitely there. Imagine this as 50 years after Aang's death.

Who Owns What Lands/Cities:
Fire Nation owns the Northwestern section of the main continent, and a middle sections (more like a strip) from the Western Shore to the middle of the main continent. It is called the Trade Route. The Northern mountains of the main continent belong to the Air Nomads. Omashu belongs again to the Earth Kingdom.

State of War:
War has continued here and their for the struggle for territory of growing nations. There is tension between all the nations, not necessarily full out war. After such a long full out war that nearly destroyed the world and needed the avatar to fix, people are a bit more cautious about urges for world domination. However, there is still lots of tension and border fights. The politics of each nation has not changed. There is still a high king in Ba Sing Se with lesser kings of the really large Earth Kingdom cities. Fire Nation is still ruled by a Fire Lord. In this case it is Gotag. The Fire Nation line ended and Gotag was elected from among the competent military and lords. Water Tribes are still ruled by two chiefs: North and South. Though there may be many smaller tribes with sub-chiefs. The Air Nomads have returned to the temples and are slowly prospering better than many expected. They have gurus and Master monks/nuns that run the counsels of the Temples.
