Battle #3: United Elements Artwork
This was designed, hosted Uncle Iroh. He also judged the entries with the assistance of David TLCB. This contest was open to everyone in the forum, not just those participating in the AvRen. This was a challenging battle with the risk of the nations losing their points to a neutral party.
First Place and 100 points for the Fire Nation goes to (Conzu) ConvertedZutarist for his excellent [and from what I can tell, unnamed] video entry!
Second Place and 25 points for the Air Nomads goes to Suzume for her great art entry!
Third Place and 25 points for the Air Nomads goes to -IT- for his hilarious and great art entry!
RULES
And now we head into our third battle of the AvRen war, art!
In order to not discriminate between artists, this will be open to all those who use computer generated manipulations and those who draw by hand.
Now then, it will be interesting to judge videos, pictures, and drawings all in one competition, and I'd like to not leave any of those groups out, which will indeed make it interesting to judge.
The winner will be the one who is able to include all the elements in their work that I ask for, and it looks great to the viewers- the bonus points will go to those who are second and third to the winner.
The Topic:
Show how all the elements are related
and are all part of a greater whole (the world). All the nations may have
different elements and people, but they all do need each other as they are all
part of the same world.
Point / Judging System:
HOW IT RELATES/ADDRESSES THE TOPIC
Total Possible Points (TPP): 3 (3 = perfectly, 2 = mostly, 1 = partially, 0 = not at all)
QUALITY
If possible, I’d like to know what program(s) was used in the creation of the artwork, so that may be taken into consideration, although I’d prefer it if all the entries weren’t done in paint.
TPP: 4 (4 = amazing, 3 = very good, 2 = good, 1 = not very good, 0 = shotty/poor)
EFFORT
If you just put a quick caption to a screenshot, you’re not going to do too well.
TPP: 4 (4 = incredible amounts, 3 = a large amount, 2 = a decent amount, 1 = little, 0 = none at all)
ORIGINALITY/CREATIVITY
Don’t just spew back what the creators already told us, think!
TPP: 3 (3 = very original and creative, 2 = fairly original and creative, 1 = slight originality and creativity, 0 = no originality or creativity whatsoever)
This battles runs from June 30th through July 7th.
WINNERS
Conzu made a video that stunned everyone. He used a blend of scenes and images from ATLA to the music of “The World is One” and some sound clips from ATLA. It was so well done, it gave chills to some people and made everyone think. It was extremely creative.
He earned great honor for the Fire Nation this day!
Suzume of the Air Nomads worked on her entry first in pen and paper and later, after scanning it into the computer, colored it using Photoshop.
Air Nomads stole third place as well with -IT-‘s very humorous entry. He reminds us that laughter is an important part of the element of air and life, and that these battles are here for fun!

And finally from the coordinator of the Avatar Portal Forum Sig of the Week contests, Hybrid put forth his entry. It summed up how he felt and why he did not choose a nation to be part of. It is unfortunate the background is white here. In the forum, it seems to have a black background:
